Proposal
It was as crowded as Grand Central Station,
He was walking as slow as a snail,
His feet as heavy as lead,
His heart as keen as mustard.
It was as clear as a day
That she was as pretty as a picture
And for him a choice as right as rain.
"I was as stubborn as a mule,
As proud as a peacock
To keep her waiting as long as my arms."
He said to himself as clear as a sound.
"Today I won't be as quite as a mouse."
He saw her sitting as graceful as a swan.
He sat there on the bench as hard as stone.
His face as white as snow,
His hands as cool as a cucumber,
His heart beating as fast as lightening.
"It's not as easy as ABC."
He said his voice as dry as a bone.
"I'll be as straight as an arrow
To make you as happy as a lark."
She replied with a smile as innocent as a lamb.
