Proposal

It was as crowded as Grand Central Station,
He was walking as slow as a snail,
His feet as heavy as lead,
His heart as keen as mustard.
It was as clear as a day
That she was as pretty as a picture
And for him a choice as right as rain.
"I was as stubborn as a mule,
As proud as a peacock
To keep her waiting as long as my arms."
He said to himself as clear as a sound.
"Today I won't be as quite as a mouse."
He saw her sitting as graceful as a swan.
He sat there on the bench as hard as stone.
His face as white as snow,
His hands as cool as a cucumber,
His heart beating as fast as lightening.
"It's not as easy as ABC."
He said his voice as dry as a bone.
"I'll be as straight as an arrow
To make you as happy as a lark."
She replied with a smile as innocent as a lamb.

Rosy Future

To an invisible member of TUED

There was a time I saw a girl
At the old university, near that glassy gate
Curious in the eye, hearty within
"Do you know Hosna Mohseni Saravi?"
Gush, who's that lass, knows my full name!
"It's me" raised my head, surprised on end.
"Are you from sari?"
Asked as if she was a old friend,
That affable loving girl
"Wow", stunned, said I in my breath
"No, no. That's my father's place."
Still again that amiable tone:
"I enjoy reading your wonderful poems."
Joyful inside, not knowing how to reply her compliment
Stammered me: "Thank you. It’s really kind of you!"
Smiled she in her jovial mood
It was she who made me a wonderful day!

Bewildered Mind

Stormy in the desert of wrong
My head burning at my Kind
Unable to stir, not even my tongue
As if mad, out of my mind
In the core of my messy rhyme
Unable to find a piece of mine
Sought you at the right time
Before witches could spell nine
Though the sky looked gray and dark
Appealing not to my bewildered sight
And fierce dogs I heard bark,
You shone deeply through to my heart
Thus, my hands reached a shrine
Of that bright holy light of mine

Loss of Words

In the dark
At that night
The silvery rays of the moon
On flushed face of mine
Pearls rolling down
My eyes alight
To say heartfelt things to you
But could say none
